Does Hypnosis Work?

Modern Hypnotherapists don’t dangle watches normally

It really depends on what you want it to do.

This seems like a daft question to ask a hypnotherapist.  Does hypnosis work? Firstly I would say – read my reviews.

Hypnotherapy harnesses the power of your subconscious mind. Hypnosis is a natural phenomena. It has been used for thousands of years and was used by the ancient Egyptians. Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic process utilising the power of hypnosis.

“Hypnosis” isn’t something artificial. It uses the power of your subconscious mind to create changes to your behaviour.
Modern hypnotherapy relies very heavily on the cooperation of the client. Without this cooperation and trust there is little prospect of achieving change. The changes come from within the client. A hypnotherapist doesn’t really add anything to the persons thoughts but steers them and helps them with their perspective so that they can see things more clearly to be able to make changes for themselves.

“What if I don’t think I can be hypnotised?”

Well certainly you have to be willing to relax and try to be hypnotised.   Some people may initially struggle to relax sufficiently.   If you are really concerned you could pay for a taster session lasting 40 minutes but most people go straight for therapy.   A skilled hypnotist/hypnotherapist can help pretty much all people to relax.   You should find that Hypnotherapy is one of the most relaxing things you can do. Often after a session you will sleep very well.   I do not usually dangle watches or click my fingers.  If you want that as part of the experience I can use it but really it doesn’t add any advantage to the session.

The effectiveness of hypnotherapy will depend on the circumstances and the condition to be treated. If you want the hypnotherapy to work there is a good chance it will.   If you don’t believe it will work or worst still are determined that it won’t work then call me.   If you really don’t want to change your behaviour – give up smoking , lose weight etc. then you may be hoping for too much from hypnotherapy.
